Hello, World!
I'm a mother, grandmother, nurse, and psychotherapist with a particularly soft heart for children and animals. I was inspired to write Love Is Like the Moon after seeing my grandson struggle with his parents’ divorce, as so many children do when families are broken apart. It is my hope that this story helps to open gentle conversations between children and the adults who love them, reminding young hearts that feelings are meant to be heard and shared.
As someone devoted to promoting truth in an uncertain world, much of my time is spent doing deep-dive research on a wide-range of topics for my weekly podcast, Junique’s Perspective, which I began in February of 2023. I tackle some of the toughest subjects and explore what's really going on in the world through a lens of integrity, straight talk, sensitivity, and also humor—ending each episode by returning to the heartspace, where I highlight several touching, humorous, and/or spirit-boosting videos.
In a time where open minds and critical thinking are sorely lacking, my mission is this: Make Brains Think Again. Mature viewers can find the show on Rumble and Spotify.
Love Is Like the Moon is my first published book. If you would like to get in touch with me, please email me at juniquemckay@gmail.com.
